THROWBACK THURSDAY:  The Hue of Two - knife in a clock fight

Let’s go back to 2004/2005.  Local shows seemed to be saturated with screamo/metalcore/hardcore bands.  Some of it was good.  Most of it was terrible.  Then I went to see Polyvinyl Records band Aloha play at the Bug Jar.  A local band I had never heard before (The Hue of Two) was one of the openers.  I was blown away by the energy on stage and the refreshing style of music.  I had heard similar bands before, but not in my city.

Unfortunately, unique bands tend to break up.  Members went on to do other things though.  Recently, Dan Danger was featured in Hi-Fructose.  That’s what made me decide to listen to The Hue of Two again.  Enjoy!

Throwback!

Trivia:

a personal fav of mine

affectionately known amongst bandmates as “cock in a knife fight”

this is one song i can’t figure out the guitar part for at all

my guitar part was tracked with two different guitars, and i think this is the only song i used my (then new) strat

i remember that aloha show very well

once we played this song in the middle of nowhere in MA and dan did a wild slide into the crowd on his knees.
